Education
I completed my MA in Instructional Design and Technology with the University of Central Florida. Through the program, I developed interests in serious games and gamification, simulation, augmented reality, and story creation through the field of Instructional Design. I have contributed to several research projects regarding serious games and gamification, including co-authoring two papers on the proper use of game mechanics using Bloom's Taxonomy.
I earned my Bachelors of Education from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor). I was a History major and minored in Psychology. I will always bleed Maize and Blue!

Personal Passions
|
I am an enthusiastic and fast learner. Whether it is working on a personal project at home, baking a cake, or a design document, I do it with passion. I will read anything, but as of this moment my focus has been on recent instructional design trends and inclusive design.
I want to see the world because it is our best educator. I have a travel bucket list that seems never-ending, and I want to experience all of it. In my travels I've learned so much about the world, myself and have had the opportunity to grow as a person. I never want to stop growing. I am a creator, colorist, and taste tester in my kitchen. I'm developing skills to go from amateur pastry chef to professional through my own trial and error. I have the two best taste testers as well; they have four paws and weigh about 60 pounds each. They prefer anything I make with peanut butter and pumpkin and will always clean up my messes on the floor.
